Teleport your phone to any place in the world with two clicks! This app allows you to set up a fake GPS location so that every other app on your phone believes you are there.

This app has Tasker support and can be started and stopped from the command line. For more information, please refer to the FAQ section.

IMPORTANT: After using FakeGPS, please note that your location may remain locked to the last mocked location, even after uninstalling the app. This is not a bug nor a sign of a broken GPS sensor. To fix this issue, there are two recommended methods:

  1. Install "GPS Status" from the Play Store, launch it, and obtain a fresh GPS fix. This may need to be repeated several times at 30-minute intervals.
  2. Start FakeGPS, set your real location, and leave it for several hours.

You may combine these steps and be patient, as the issue should disappear within one to two days.

For rooted devices, it is possible to mock locations without enabling the "Allow mock locations" option. To do so, use Root Explorer or a similar app to move the /data/app/ru.lexa.fakegps~1.apk file to either /system/priv-app or /system/app (for Android 4.3 and older). Then, change the APK permissions to rw-r-r and reboot your device. If you find that the APK in /system/priv-app disappears after rebooting, it means that your device has S-ON mode enabled and restores the /system folder after each reboot. Please search online for instructions on how to switch your device to S-OFF mode.

If you can't locate the ru.lexa.fakegps.apk file in /data/app, you may find it at /mnt/asec/ru.lexa.fakegps/1.apk. In this case, you should copy and rename it to /system/priv-app/ru.lexa.fakegps.apk.
